1. What We Collect
When you use UMBRA, we may collect:
- Your name and email address (when you enter the email gate)
- Your quiz answers (to generate your personalized reading)
- Payment information (processed entirely by Lemon Squeezy — we never see your card details)
- Basic usage data such as IP address and browser type (via standard server logs)
2. How We Use It
- To generate your personalized reading using your quiz answers
- To deliver your reading via email
- To send occasional follow-up emails related to your reading (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To process and fulfill your purchase
- To improve the service
We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
3. Third Parties We Use
- OpenAI — your quiz answers are sent to OpenAI to generate your reading. OpenAI does not use API inputs to train their models by default.
- Supabase — stores leads, orders, and reading content securely.
- Lemon Squeezy — handles payment processing. Subject to their own privacy policy.
- Loops — sends transactional and follow-up emails. You can unsubscribe from any email they send.
- Meta — we use the Meta Pixel and Conversions API for advertising measurement. Meta may receive hashed email addresses and event data for attribution purposes.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use the Meta Pixel, which places a cookie in your browser to help measure the effectiveness of our advertising. You can opt out of Meta ad tracking through Meta Ad Preferences or your browser settings.
5. Data Retention
We retain your email and reading content indefinitely so you can access your reading via your permanent link. If you wish to have your data deleted, contact us and we will remove it within 30 days.
6. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing readings@umbrareading.com. EU/UK residents have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR. California residents have rights under CCPA.
7. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Database access is restricted to server-side processes only. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, though no system is completely secure.
